Avoir Interiors is a luxury interiors retailer with a strong physical retail presence and a reputation for quality, classic elegance, and beautifully curated products.

While their existing e-commerce site was functional, it wasn’t performing as a true growth channel for the business. Avoir wanted to transform the website into a profitable, scalable arm of the wider group — one that could support a much larger catalogue and deliver an online experience that matched the high level of service offered in-store.

The Challenge

Avoir’s WooCommerce site had reached its limits.

Key challenges included:

  • A platform that restricted the site’s ability to scale
  • A limited online catalogue of just over 100 products
  • A checkout experience that didn’t fully support impulse buying
  • Manual processes that made it difficult to expand the product range
  • Missed opportunities for upselling and seasonal promotions

The goal was to build a modern e-commerce platform that could support growth, improve the customer journey, and reflect the premium nature of the brand.

  • Selecting Shopify as a platform built for performance and growth
  • Designing a clean, elegant interface that complements Avoir’s established brand
  • Automating product feeds to support catalogue expansion

We successfully migrated the site from WooCommerce to Shopify, delivering:

  • A faster, more intuitive customer journey
  • An optimised checkout with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop app support
  • Improved after-sales experience with shipping updates and tracking
  • Seamless integration with logistics providers

This created a smoother buying experience and reduced friction at checkout.

Automated Product Feeds & Catalogue Expansion

To support growth, we integrated automated product feeds from new suppliers, including Hills and Harvey Astley.

As a result:

  • The product catalogue expanded from just over 100 products to more than 2,000 lines
  • Avoir significantly broadened its online offering
  • The site now supports a far wider range of customer needs and purchasing scenarios

A Refined, Premium Shopping Experience

The site was redesigned to feel cleaner and less busy, while staying true to Avoir’s luxury aesthetic. Enhancements included:

  • Increased white space and refined layouts
  • Elegant animations to create a smooth browsing experience
  • Long-form product content that tells the Avoir story and highlights quality
  • High-impact imagery that sells the lifestyle and craftsmanship behind the products

Upselling & Product Discovery
To encourage higher basket values and better product exploration, we implemented:

  • Shopify’s related product and upsell functionality
  • Improved category and collection structures
  • Clear pathways to complementary products

These features help customers complete a room or collection more easily.
